How do I prepare items for sale?
Bring complete items and any existing records. Avoid aggressive cleaning, polishing or removing stones before discussing the evaluation. Call to confirm identification and ownership requirements.
What sets your prices?
The offer depends on the actual item, verified materials, condition and current resale conditions. Ask what is included, what remains uncertain and the final net purchase amount.
Can I sell an item bought in another country?
Is my transaction confidential?
Ask how information needed for your transaction is collected, used and retained. Please avoid sending identification or banking information in an initial email. See our website privacy information and discuss transaction-specific questions with the store.
Do you charge for evaluations?
Call to confirm the service and any charges before your visit. A purchase evaluation and a formal written appraisal have different purposes. There is no obligation to sell simply because you request an evaluation.
What we buy
Which gemstones do you buy?
We buy only large, high-quality gemstones, including green Colombian emeralds, Burmese rubies and Ceylon blue sapphires. Certificates are welcome but not required.
Do I need a gemstone certificate?
No. A certificate or laboratory report is welcome but is not required to request an evaluation. Bring the stone or complete jewelry and whatever information you already have.
Can color prove a gemstone’s origin?
No. Share the source of an origin description, such as a laboratory report, receipt or family history. The actual stone needs examination; appearance alone does not establish geographic origin.
Does the gemstone size requirement apply to diamonds?
We buy natural, cut and polished diamonds of any size or shape, loose or in jewelry. We do not buy laboratory-grown, uncut or rough diamonds.
How can I receive payment?
Cash, bank wire and business check are available for agreed purchases. Confirm the final amount and payment arrangements before accepting.
