Cash 4 Gold & Diamonds · Downtown Los Angeles
Gold & Natural Diamond Chain Buyers in Los Angeles
Cash 4 Gold & Diamonds buys gold chains, Cuban links and chains set with natural polished diamonds at 617 S. Hill Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Bring the complete piece for an in-person evaluation of its gold, eligible stones and condition, then review the offer before deciding to sell.
Single pieces and larger collections welcome. A preliminary estimate is not a final offer.

Start with the complete piece
Gold chains, Cuban links and diamond-set jewelry
A chain's style describes its links, not its gold purity or weight. Cuban-link, rope, Figaro and box designs can have different construction, clasps and repairs. Bring the actual chain rather than relying on the weight or price of a similar-looking piece online.
Solid and hollow construction can produce different weights at the same width. Yellow, white and rose gold describe color; karat describes gold content. As the World Gold Council explains, 14K and 18K gold have different gold proportions. A mark is a useful clue, but the actual material still needs evaluation. The FTC's jewelry-marking guide also distinguishes karat gold from gold-filled and plated descriptions.
Keep pendants, matching bracelets and detached parts with their records. Tell us which pieces you want included and which you intend to keep. See the existing 14K and Cuban-chain guide or 24K chain guide for material-specific preparation.
Three different measurements
Total weight is not the same as gold weight
1. Total item weight
The scale weight of the complete chain includes its metal, stones and any other components. It is a starting description, not automatically the amount of gold-bearing alloy.
2. Net gold-alloy weight
The metal calculation uses the applicable gold-bearing alloy, excluding stones and non-gold parts. Its verified purity determines the fine-gold content. Mixed-karat parts should not all be assigned one assumed karat.
3. Diamond carat weight
Carat measures stone weight. One carat is 0.2 gram, while karat describes gold purity. Total carat weight across many diamonds is different from the weight of one diamond.
Ask which measurements are verified and which are estimates while stones remain mounted. A home scale and a stamp cannot settle all three. Our 14K necklace-value guide explains a metal calculation; the diamond carat-weight guide explains stone totals.
Gold and stones need distinct consideration
Selling a natural diamond chain
Our diamond buying covers natural, cut and polished diamonds of any size or shape, including diamonds mounted in jewelry. We do not buy laboratory-grown, uncut or rough diamonds. If origin is uncertain, say so when you call; do not infer it from appearance or an old retail description.
A diamond-set Cuban chain may contain many small stones. A pendant may have one principal diamond. Those descriptions do not represent the same evaluation, even if the stated total carat weight matches. GIA's quality factors explain why cut, color, clarity and carat weight matter together. The piece's construction, condition, missing stones and verified maker information can also affect how it is considered.
Bring reports with the stones they actually describe. A report for a pendant diamond does not automatically grade every stone in the chain. Keep the jewelry intact and discuss the proposed examination before any change to the piece. For tennis necklaces, rivieres and pendant sets, see our diamond-necklace preparation guide; our natural-diamond service explains the broader buying scope.

Understand the complete purchase offer
For gold jewelry, Cash 4 Gold & Diamonds pays 90–95% based on daily market value, depending on the specific jewelry item and evaluation. This is not a guarantee, and it does not apply automatically to diamonds, watches, coins, gold bars or platinum. The final amount reflects verified karat, net gold weight and the complete item.
Do not apply that range to the gross weight of a diamond chain or to the stones' value. Ask how the gold and eligible natural diamonds are considered and whether the amount accounts for the complete piece. Our gold-buying service explains the qualified gold-jewelry offer.
- Confirm the chain, pendant, stones and detached parts included in each offer.
- Ask which materials and weights were established and whether any checks remain.
- Clarify any deductions and the final net amount.
- Confirm the payment method and timing before accepting.
A photograph, retail receipt or insurance replacement figure is not a current purchase offer. The highest preliminary quote is not always the highest final offer. There is no obligation to sell simply because you request an evaluation.

Questions about selling gold and diamond chains
Can I sell a broken gold chain or a chain with a missing clasp?
Yes. Bring the chain and any detached parts, and point out missing links, repairs or clasp problems. Broken gold still has metal content. The offer depends on the actual materials, net weight, condition and whether the complete piece has resale characteristics beyond its metal.
What if I do not know whether the diamonds are natural?
Describe their origin as unknown and bring any existing reports or receipts. Appearance, a photograph or a total-carat-weight label does not establish origin. Our buying scope is natural, cut and polished diamonds; we do not buy laboratory-grown, uncut or rough diamonds.
Should I remove diamonds before bringing in a chain?
Bring the piece intact. Removing stones can damage settings or lose information about the complete item. Ask how the metal and eligible natural diamonds will be considered, and discuss any examination that could alter the piece before agreeing to it.
Does total carat weight tell me what my diamond chain is worth?
No. Total carat weight adds the weights of multiple diamonds; it does not describe their individual size, quality or origin. It also does not measure the gold. Ask what was verified and how the actual stones and complete jewelry affect the offer.
Is a photo estimate a final purchase offer?
No. A photograph can help start a discussion, but it cannot establish net gold weight, verified purity, diamond origin or the condition of every setting. A final offer follows evaluation of the actual item. Compare final amounts for the same chain and included components.
Can I bring several chains and other gold jewelry together?
Yes. Single items and larger collections are welcome. Keep the pieces and matching records together, identify anything you want to keep, and call ahead about substantial quantities so the visit can be planned.
