Identify the Day-Date you actually have
Record the reference from available documents and describe the dial, bezel, case and bracelet. Avoid choosing a reference solely because a current online image looks similar. Earlier examples and later modifications may need additional research.
The official Rolex Day-Date collection describes the model family and its precious-metal configurations. The President bracelet is closely associated with this collection, but a nickname is not a complete description of an individual watch.
Include the bracelet in the evaluation
Bring detached links and note any replacement clasp or bracelet work you know about. Ask how length, wear, repairs and the relationship of the bracelet to the case are being considered.

Before arranging polishing or repair solely for a sale, discuss an evaluation in the watch's present condition. Rolex's care and service information is the primary source for manufacturer support.
Compare an offer without assuming an investment return
A luxury watch can rise or fall in resale value. Neither its precious-metal content nor brand name creates a guaranteed resale floor for the amount you paid. Gold price changes also do not translate into a fixed percentage change in a complete Day-Date offer.
Compare the same reference, condition, accessories and sale terms. An advertised watch with a warranty or Rolex Certified Pre-Owned programme coverage is not equivalent to every privately presented example.
